I've been on a spiritual high for the last two weeks because I read some amazing life changing books.
The Message by Lance Richardson. Pretty interesting.
Visions of Glory by John Pontius. Absolutely incredible! Left me feeling so excited for the second coming and Millennium and felt an urgency to prepare temporally and spiritually.
Journey to the Veil also by John Pontius. His last words as he knew his life was growing shorter. Left me with a renewed desire to really study scriptures, follow the Spirit, be a better person and love everyone like Christ does.

Dinner
We went to the new aquarium finally! Yay! It was fun, and pretty cool. We went to Zupas afterward. I just love Zupas. The kids like the Cauliflower soup and Morgan and I like everything. As our meal was coming to an end, I asked the kids, "What should we do when we get home?" Lizzy replies, "We could make dinner."
Chair Store
Lizzy: I love the chair store. The chair store is my favorite store. Let's go to the chair store and get some chairs!
Jordan: No thanks.
I think the chair store is Pier 1, where we got our kitchen chairs.

Honker
My mom is staying with us and she bought a little horn for the kids, the kind with a squishy end that you squeeze and a horn-shaped plastic part. Instead of squeezing the squishy part and hearing an occasional honk, the kids took it apart and found the very little plastic piece that make the noise. When you hold it up to your mouth and blow it makes a long drawn out annoying squeal/honk. We banned it to the outside. That didn't help much, though, and I'm sure that the neighbors hated it even more than we did. So while the kids were busy I opened the back door and picked up the horn to throw it away. While I was out there I saw the kid scissors outside. I told the kids, "You better get your scissors before the ants carry it away!"
Not long after, Lizzy went outside to blow the horn. She said, "Where's the honker? Where did it go?" Jordan came by to investigate. He was standing by the glass door window looking out at Lizzy and concluded, "The ants took it away."
Later Lizzy said, "Mom, it's not fair that the ants took the honker away."
My mom, Morgan, and I were all laughing hysterically and gratefully that the honker was gone and the ants got the blame. =)

Lizzy's First Missing Tooth
Lizzy had her first tooth come out! It was loose and she wiggled it for about a day. Then she decided it hurt too much and didn't want to touch it at all. I told her that if she keeps wiggling it then it will come out. But she refused to touch it for 3 days. Finally when she was eating dinner it came out. The tooth fairy promptly came that night and left a quarter. The next day Lizzy went to her first piano lesson and took the quarter inside of a red mitten to show her teacher. Unfortunately she forgot about it and left it at the teacher's house. I called Wendy, her teacher, and Wendy couldn't find it. She eventually found it in her crayon box. Wendy offered to give her another quarter. I accepted the offer and we were going to walk over to her house. But then Lizzy started talking about how her quarter had ships on it. So I called Wendy back and said Lizzy knew her particular quarter very well and I'm afraid it would not do to switch it out. So we waited until Wendy found it later that day and she brought the mitten and quarter back. Sure enough, there were ships on the quarter and I didn't have any explaining to do. =)
Try Again
I had just finished cleaning the toilets upstairs and I was about to go clean the toilet downstairs. Jordan saw me walking with the cleaner.
Jordan: What are you doing, Mom?
Me: I'm cleaning the toilets.
(pause)
Jordan: I don't want to help you, Mom.
When I came back upstairs:
Jordan: Are you all done, Mom?
Me: Yes, I'm all done.
Jordan: Thanks, Mom.

Morgan made scrambled eggs this morning. I must say, Morgan makes very good eggs. Often he will mix in some tomatoes.
Jordan: I don't like tomatoes, Dad. You've got to try again.

Numbers
Today while Jordan and I were waiting outside for the bus to arrive we started talking about the numbers on our house. The numbers marking our address are centered right above the garage door. Jordan identified all the numbers, but not in order. So I asked, "So what does it say?" I was hoping that he would read the numbers from the beginning. Instead he read, "Car coming out. Right now."
He still thinks numbers spell words like letters do. I guess that's an easy mistake to mix up letters and numbers.
