Decade

Jordan asks me: "What does decade mean?"

I answered: "Decade means 10 years."

I read a task that Jordan had for homework: "Go outside and find a leaf or pinecone or acorn and bring it to school."

Lizzy chimed in very enthusiastically: "ISN'T THAT AMAZING?!?"

I couldn't tell if she was being genuine or fake about it or making fun of me and my sometimes enthusiasm. But it made me laugh. =)

My first video using iMovie

After much sweat and many tears, this is my very first little movie I made using iMovie.

Notice the volume of the background music duck out during the clip. And the transitions. =)

Michelangela

I'm very impressed with Lizzy's drawings! She draws facial expressions!  Today I found this gem:

Jordan is 6 Years Old

Jordan had his birthday. While my mom came to visit we had an early birthday party. I asked him if he wanted to go pick out a cake like we usually do or if he wanted to make a cake. He wanted to make a cake! So we consulted pinterest and the moment he saw THIS cake he said, "That's perfect" and there was no further discussion. It is a Minecraft cake mimicking the actual "cake" they have on the game Minecraft. He watches other people play Minecraft on youtube. Our favorite player is Stampy.

Jordan put on the red spots and decided to arrange them slightly different than the actual game.

It was a square cake made with ice cream sandwiches and brownies. 

This was the first time my mom and I worked with FONDANT icing. We found fondant at Walmart and had to warm it up and shape it just like clay or polymer clay. It was a cool first experience. It was fun to have my mom here for a week.

Jordan got Minecraft for The Wii U for his birthday. Our whole family is enjoying the game! Jordan also got this cool car racing track from Grandma:

We got to spend Mother's Day together, too! This card says "I love mom I love Gam." Grandma is much harder to spell than Mom.

Headache

Jordan: Mom, my head hurts right here on the inside.

Me: Oh, you might have your first headache.

Jordan: This is my third.

Microphone

Lizzy was participating in a musical number during church. She went up along with a handful of other primary kids. We were sitting in the pews watching. Just before the song started...

Morgan: Lizzy is in front of the microphone!

I looked over and saw terror in his eyes.

Morgan: And the microphone is ON!

Sure enough, it turned out to be a nice musical number mostly by Lizzy...  with accompaniment by all the other participants.   =) Lots of compliments followed.
