How to Properly Kiss

Today Lizzy got a haircut. We went to Great Clips and a nice young man cut her hair. Lizzy was on a roll telling him all about our family and what we do for fun. And of course she had to tell him the latest news - that she threw up last night. Several times. And then snuggled with Mommy and then threw up in Mommy's bed. And then threw up in the throw-up bowl. Then she went back to bed and woke up early in the morning. The barber got a kick out of her.

Jordan: Mom, I don't know how to properly kiss.

Me: Oh really? You do it like this... (I kissed him on the check) Go ahead and try it.

(He kisses my cheek.)

Me: Jordan you are a great kisser.

Jordan: Thanks, Mom.

Lizzy: My mommy does puzzles every day.

(I do not!)

Jordan: And she uses a "tricky tactic."

Christmas Concert

Lizzy came to the Christmas concert and sat by herself. I showed her the program and that she could see the name of the song that was playing and told her that she could follow along and even write down if she liked the song. She was especially excited to hear the Nutcracker song. This is her assessment of the Christmas Concert:

Puzzle club

I joined a puzzle club! We mail puzzles to each other.

Lizzy: Mom, now that you are in a puzzle club Daddy is not going to know what to get your for your birthday.

 Me: I told him he could get me chocolate.

Lizzy: *phew* Oh that's good.

Decade

Jordan asks me: "What does decade mean?"

I answered: "Decade means 10 years."

Jordan's eyes get wide and he answers in slowly and thoughtfully: "Wow!:

I read a task that Jordan had for homework: "Go outside and find a leaf or pinecone or acorn and bring it to school."

Lizzy chimed in very enthusiastically: "ISN'T THAT AMAZING?!?"

I couldn't tell if she was being genuine or fake about it or making fun of me and my sometimes enthusiasm. But it made me laugh. =)

My first video using iMovie

After much sweat and many tears, this is my very first little movie I made using iMovie.

Notice the volume of the background music duck out during the clip. And the transitions. =)
